Keshav Prasad Maurya Pays Tribute to Chandrashekhar Azad on His Birth Anniversary

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya paid floral tributes to legendary freedom fighter Chandrashekhar Azad on his birth anniversary, describing his life as an enduring symbol of unparalleled courage, sacrifice and unwavering patriotism.

Maurya offered tributes to the portrait of the revolutionary at his official residence, 7 Kalidas Marg in Lucknow, and bowed in respect to one of India’s most iconic freedom fighters.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister said Chandrashekhar Azad’s sacrifice, fearless spirit, love for the nation and unwavering commitment to India’s freedom constitute an invaluable legacy in the country’s history. He said Azad dedicated every moment of his life to the struggle for independence and set an extraordinary example of patriotism that would continue to guide generations to come.

Maurya said the revolutionary’s inspiring life motivates every Indian to place national interest above all else, discharge their duties with sincerity and remain committed to safeguarding the country’s unity, integrity and self-respect. He added that Azad’s extraordinary sacrifice and relentless struggle remain an inexhaustible source of courage, energy and inspiration for India’s youth.

The Deputy Chief Minister said the nation would always remain indebted to great revolutionaries like Chandrashekhar Azad, whose sacrifice and determination made India’s independence possible.

He also urged the people of Uttar Pradesh to imbibe the ideals of Chandrashekhar Azad and actively contribute to nation-building while strengthening the collective resolve to build a strong, prosperous and developed India.
